What we collect. Student name, parent's name, class, school, district, state, a parent's mobile number, an optional photo, practice-test answers, examination scores and payment references. We do not store card or UPI details — payments are processed by Razorpay.

Parental consent. Accounts are created by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on the child's behalf at registration.

Why we use it. To register students, conduct the examination rounds, publish results and certificates, and contact parents about the programme. We do not use children's data for advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking.

Who can see it. The student and parent; the principal and teachers of the student's own partner school (registrations and results only); authorised MeritMap India staff. Names and photos of Grand Show finalists are published only with separate parental consent.

Retention. Data is kept for the season and the following academic year for certificates and verification, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights. Parents can ask to access, correct or delete a student's data by writing to info@meritmapindia.com.

Security. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, the site uses HTTPS, and staff access is limited by role.
